Nannerch Players

The Nannerch Players are a dedicated group of enthusiastic amateur actors, all living in and around Nannerch. They perform at least two shows a year: A full-length play performed in the summer months (usually May – June) and a pantomime, just before Christmas.
The full-length play is very popular with actors and audiences alike and its inspiration is usually drawn from the cast. They all have their favourites, so it’s their chance to indulge themselves. These plays could be a short murder/mystery or a gritty and intense love story, a light-hearted comedy or a classic Shakespearean masterpiece.
The annual pantomime normally includes colourful costumes, over-the-top characters, fabulous sets and hilarious scripts. The village children are normally roped in to the production and for those who just like to watch, it’s a great introduction to Christmas – they are normally always a sell-out. They normally rehearse every Wednesday evening in the Memorial Hall and very much welcome new members – either in an acting role or to help with technical or backstage.
